This Privacy Policy is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.

Information We Collect
You can generally visit our Site without revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself. However, in certain sections of this Site, we may require you to submit your personally identifiable information to us and we may invite you to submit questions, comments and request information.

Children’s Privacy
Storage Star recognizes the privacy interests of children, and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children's online activities. Neither our Site nor our services are intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not target the Site or our services to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Separately, our Terms of Service require that anyone creating an account or entering into a rental agreement with us be at least 18 years old.
Cookies
We use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie expires when you close your browser; a persistent cookie remains on your device for a longer period. You can remove persistent cookies using your browser's settings.
We use session cookies to make it easier to navigate the Site, remember your preferences, and improve the overall Site experience. We use persistent cookies to authenticate your login and track, store, and target user interests to improve the Site. If you reject cookies, you can still use the Site, but some features may be limited.
Third Party Analytics Tools
Beyond information you voluntarily provide, we use analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to collect non-personally-identifiable information using cookies. This may include geolocation, device type, on-site usage and behavior, demographic data, and purchase history, aggregated across Site users for analysis and advertising purposes.

Aggregate Information
We may track total visitors, page-level visits, browser type, IP addresses, referring and linked-to external sites, and other aggregated data through our services, and analyze this information for trends and statistics. This aggregate information does not contain personally identifiable information. We may use it to analyze trends, administer the Site, track user movement, and gather broad demographic information.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We may share your personal information, cookie-derived data, third-party analytics data, and aggregate information with vendors and service providers who assist us in operating the Site and delivering our services (for example, our website hosting and marketing vendors).

In other words, if you opt in to receive SMS messages from us, your phone number and opt-in/consent status will only be used to operate the SMS Text Messaging Program described in Section 9 below and Section 11 of our Terms of Service — for example, sharing it with our SMS delivery platform solely to send you the messages you opted into — or as required by law. It will not be sold or shared with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS Text Messaging Program
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we collect and use that number to operate our SMS Text Messaging Program, through which we send messages about your account, reservations, payment reminders, customer support, and other service-related notifications. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply through your carrier. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. Full program terms are set out in Section 11 of our Terms of Service.
As described in Section 8 above, we do not share your SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Links to Third Party Sites
The Site may link to other websites or resources that we do not control (“External Web Sites”). These links do not constitute our endorsement of those External Web Sites, and we provide them only as a convenience. We are not responsible for the content of External Web Sites, and your use of them is subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies.
Security
We use procedural and technological measures reasonably designed to help protect your personal information from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including firewalls, password protection, encryption in transit, and other industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
